Speechlab is our first partner. Speechlab’s focus is speech-to-speech translation for recorded content and real-time interpretation. It works with leading enterprises in education and language services. The company was founded by successful repeat entrepreneur Seamus McAteer, who was also part of the early team at Otter.ai and Entrepreneur in Residence at Andrew Ng’s AI Fund where he incubated Speechlab, and pioneering AI researcher Jay Billa, PhD who built some of the earliest speech models at BBN (Raytheon) and led research in low resource languages at USC.
